Lucien Pagès

Press officer

— Conversation with the man behind the press offices

Discover the inspiring story of Lucien Pages, founder of the eponymous press agency that works with the most prestigious fashion brands, such as Jacquemus, Loewe, and Glossier. In this podcast episode, Lucien shares his journey, his approach, and his philosophy.

An atypical background

Lucien Pages didn't follow the traditional path to become a press officer. After gaining experience at Marc Ascoli, he decided to launch his own press agency with Adam Kimmel as his first client. Lucien succeeded in convincing major fashion brands by conveying his passion and philosophy, rather than relying on formal qualifications. "I knew that it was my personality that would determine my commitment. I had to prove that I was interesting, passionate, and hardworking," he explains.

A method based on the love of creation

For Lucien, representing a brand should be based on both creative and commercial pride.

I like being given time. We need to meet multiple times.

I need to be sure that I can call someone and tell them "it's good." I couldn't call someone and tell them it's great when I think it's rubbish!

L’avenir de la mode

According to Lucien, the future of fashion lies between the mass market and the niche market. He believes that the niche market will be economically profitable because it will reach people who have an affinity for beautiful things.

Nowadays, we are becoming more of a networking agency for solutions, communication strategy (...), our work is becoming much more comprehensive.

If you want to learn more about the history and methodology of Lucien Pages, don't miss this podcast episode. You will discover how he chooses his clients, how he conveys his philosophy to his collaborators, and much more.
